ABOUT
In the summer of 2014, Davey McEathron Architecture was founded upon the idea of the architect as artist, collaborator and craftsperson. With an equal amount of space dedicated to a design studio and a fabrication studio, DMA positions itself in a unique location between design, testing, and realization.
After working from a home based studio for five years, DMA created their new office in the North Loop neighborhood of Austin, TX - an area known for being paradoxically both laid back and colorful. Starting with an existing building, DMA tore it back to the studs and reimagined both the shell and interior of the structure to reflect the design ethos of the firm and the character of the neighborhood.
DMA takes pride in unique solutions and fine detailing - always perfecting, learning and reinventing. The firm has become well known for its vibrant interiors, creative geometries and elegant use of raw materials that exemplify the hand of the craftsperson and speak to the unique mix of cultures found in Central Texas.
